Brenda Bowser Soder

Director of Communications

Prior to joining the Alliance for Justice team as its Director of Communications, Brenda Bowser Soder spent seven years as Communications Director for the Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC), a non-profit organization serving the media and the public with analysis and information on issues concerning capital punishment. In that role, Brenda led the Center’s national communications strategy and facilitated a series of media and message development trainings based on a DPIC media training guide she authored, Making Your Case: Elements of a Successful Media Campaign. Before her time with DPIC, Brenda served as the Deputy Press Secretary for Senator Olympia J. Snowe and was a public relations fellow at The Widmeyer-Baker Group (now Widmeyer Communications) in Washington, DC. A native of Pennsylvania, Brenda is a graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA.
